Life of a Book Worm
Lately I haven't been wanting to do much except read, and what perfect weather for it. I've always appreciated reading, especially those books that allow you to escape for a bit into another world. Along with those, I adore inspirational books, and even better combining the two! Instead of an inspiring quote this week, I'd like to encourage you to dive into this great read.
The Alchemist by Brazilian author, Paulo Coelho. It has some wonderful reviews. I started yesterday and can't seem to put it down. It's great for an audience in their mid-20's, but also wonderful for elders. Bottom line, it's just a really great book. On top of being a great story it provides lessons I think we should all take into account.
If you haven't had the chance to check it out, I highly recommend.
Also on my reading list this fall (and may I add, I have recruited most of my list from Lauren Conrad's blog.)
- The Abominable by Dan Simmons
- Lighthouse Island: A Novel by Paulette Jiles
- It's Not Love, It's Just Paris by Patricia Engel
- We Need New Names by NoViolet Bulawayo
- Man Up! Tales of My Delusional Self-Confidence by Ross Mathews
- Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple
I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather and having a wonderful month! Have you read any of these books? If so, I'd love to hear your thoughts on them!
XOXO
